First Impression Ministry

Greeters

Members of the greeting team are one of the first persons that people see when visiting City Church. We have three primary functions:

  • welcome members and visitors with a smile, hug or handshake as they arrive for service or events.
  • help direct the flow of traffic inside the church; and
  • give pertinent information to visitors (like the location of the sanctuary, restrooms, and children’s ministries).

Parking/Welcome

As a member of the Parking team, we’re privileged to be the first people to interact with members and guests. Servanthood with this FIM team includes the following:

  • Extending the hand of Jesus to everyone we meet by greeting them with His love;
  • Assisting everyone who drives on to these grounds by treating them with courtesy, respect and giving them direction to aid them in their transition from the work week to the day of worship; and
  • Serving the Lord with joy and gladness with the intent of imparting His joy to all who come to the parking lot of City Church.

Kiosk (Guest Services)

Every Sunday is someone's first visit at City Church! The role of the guest services team is to gather information of first time visitors, be available to guests that need information about the church, register guests for various events at the church, and to guide or escort guests to a specific area in the church for a service or event.

Hospitality

The #1 goal of the Hospitality Ministry is to serve by providing a warm spirit of Christian friendliness to our visitors, members, leaders and special guests to assure them that they are welcomed and loved.

On Sundays, the hospitality team serves & greets visitors in The Source foyer and serves morning refreshments to ministry team volunteers. In addition, the team prepares and provides services for scheduled events such as receptions, banquets, conferences and other special occasions at City Church throughout the year.

Ushers

The role of the usher is to warmly greet & escort people to a seat or designated area. Ushers also set out reserved seating signs, assist during altar call, and help during special events.

On Sundays, each member of our team restocks his/her section with offering envelopes & checks his/her assigned section for trash or items left behind & prepares the sanctuary for the next service. The usher is also responsible for maintaining order in their assigned section.

Tech Arts & Media

Tech Arts

The Tech Arts team uses creativity and technology to create an atmosphere in which our church family is able to actively engage in worship. Being a part of the team will give you a unique understanding of how we can give God glory in every aspect of our lives. Whether you have experience in audio, lighting, video production, camera operation or simply just have an interest in the production side of worship, we would love to have you!

Roles within this ministry include the following: Sound Technician, Camera Operator, Lighting Technician, Photographer, Visual Arts Operator, T.V. Director, & T.V. Assistant Director.

Spanish Translation

Do you speak fluent Spanish, or any other languages? If so, join our team and help us translate the Sunday sermon so that we can reach the nations! We have people from a variety of countries attend church every Sunday. Let God use your gift to reach a greater number of people by sharing the message God has for us.

Online Campus

Did you know that the Church has an online campus? Our volunteers reach the digital community each Sunday, interacting with people who call City Church home but aren’t able to be physically in the building. As a member of the Online team, you get to be an ambassador of Christ to the world.

Security

As a member of the Security Ministry, we pray for the best & plan for the worst of times. We protect the people, keep order, guard the anointing and preserve the presence of God in this House.
