What is Kindness?
Luke 6:27-31 But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also, and from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And
1. Kindness in our Actions:
Matthew 7:12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the law and the Prophets.
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Galatians 6:9 and let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Proverbs 19:17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.(NLT)
Ecclesiastes 11:1, 2 Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. Give a serving to seven, and also to eight, for you do not know what evil will be on the earth.
2. Attitude of Kindness
Matthew 7: 1-2 Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will measured back to you.
Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
James 2:13 For Judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
James 2:13 There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you.
